With a background in business management and customer services Karl took over as Managing Director in 2005. Karl has successfully guided the business through significant changes since taking the helm, including purchasing the freehold of the site, overseeing two dredging operations and constructing a new dock and hoist on site. Karl’s main focus is on ensuring he and the team deliver an exceptional customer experience and is continuously looking for ways in which to increase and improve the services provided.
Claire joined the team in 2014 and is responsible for marketing strategy, customer communications, branding, PR, events and development planning.
Claire’s background is in legal services marketing and business development and she spent ten years working for a firm with offices in Newcastle upon Tyne, Leeds and London. Originally from Scotland she has happy memories of sailing with her parents in Arisaig.

Diane joined the team in April 2018 and has already implemented a number of new processes to streamline our accounting procedures.
Diane has a strong financial background with experience of working for a small business. She has significant customer services experience and ensures a warm welcome for all.
Diane has spent many years fishing out of Seahouses and is looking forward to finding the best fishing spots around the Marina.
Ben joined us in February 2010, he is highly skilled in large machine operation – and a key member of the team involved in boat lifting and moving. Ben’s role also involves providing assistance to customers, carrying out boat maintenance and regular security checks.
Ben is a keen fisherman and organises the marina’s fishing competitions. He is a great source of local knowledge regarding the best spots along our coastline.
Mick is a hugely experienced yachtsman who brings a depth and breadth of knowledge to the team. Mick provides assistance to customers, carries out boat lifting and moving and boat and site maintenance – there are few issues he can’t find a solution for!
Mick regularly participates in Coquet Yacht Club races and is always happy to provide tips and suggestions for cruising destinations.
Margaret has worked for the Marina since 2008. A vital member of the team Margaret is responsible for the exceptionally high standard of cleanliness of the shower and toilet blocks and other facilities at the marina.
Margaret is a keen supporter of the RNLI and is regularly involved in fundraising events.
Michael first joined the team in January 2018 on a part time basis whilst continuing his work as a commercial fisherman. We were delighted when Michael decided to join us on a full time basis in May 2018.
Michael has already proved himself to be a highly valued member of the team, providing assistance to customers, carrying out boat maintenance and boat lifting and moving.
