We are delighted to announce that we will be welcoming Wetwheels Yorkshire to the marina for a week in late June. Wetwheels Yorkshire give disabled people the opportunity to access the sea in their specially modified, fully accessible powerboat.
Wetwheels Yorkshire provide boating opportunities for people of all ages and of all abilities. They offer a range of options, from educational and mentoring programmes to sport and experiential trips.
The safe, adventurous trips afloat are staffed by specialists who ensure that beneficiaries are active participants, rather than simply passengers. There is the opportunity for each person to steer the vessel and learn seamanship, alongside their peers, friends, and families. The experience is truly inclusive helping to improve aspirations and increase confidence.
Wetwheels Yorkshire will be with us from Monday 24th June to Tuesday 2nd July. The popularity of these trips means that the programme is now fully booked.
