Amble Marina is an ideal starting point for cruising the spectacular east coast.
Some of our favourite destinations to the south include:
Blyth – 12 nautical miles
Among the attractions at Blyth Quayside you will find The Blyth Tall Ship, Williams II, a lovely restaurant overlooking the harbour and a hotel with 40 en-suite rooms. There are no berths available for private craft within the port but Royal Northumberland Yacht Club have a visitors pontoon and offer a warm welcome and a range of facilities. For detailed information about the visitors moorings and sailing directions please see the Royal Northumberland Yacht Club’s visitors page.
River Tyne – 23 nautical miles
Stunning architecture, great shopping, vibrant nightlife, fantastic restaurants and world class culture including the highly acclaimed Sage Gateshead and The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts is all within easy reach. There are ample options for berths at Royal Quays Marina, St. Peter’s Basin and Newcastle City Marina as well as pontoon berths available on the Quayside in the heart of Newcastle.
