Amble Marina is an ideal starting point for cruising the spectacular east coast.

Some of our favourite destinations to the north include:

Low Newton – 11 nautical miles

For short trips, a big favourite is Low Newton, located in Beadnell Bay, with a secure anchorage and stunning views across to the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle.

A row ashore takes you to a sandy beach with The Ship Inn just a few hundred yards away. The pub offers delicious, home cooked local produce and real ale from their own micro-brewery. Further details can be found in our Ashore pages.

The Farne Islands – 18 nautical miles

The rugged Farne Islands, just off the coast, are a haven for seabirds and wildlife of all kinds.

Holy Island – 24 nautical miles

The unique Holy Island of Lindisfarne is stunningly beautiful with the castle on an elevated rocky point.

Eyemouth Harbour – 39 nautical miles

Eyemouth Harbour

A busy, welcoming and attractive harbour with ready access to all essential services and supplies. Eyemouth Harbour is well worth a visit and is a great stopping off point for longer journeys along the coast. The town offers plenty of good restaurants and the Berwickshire Coastal Path offers spectacular cliff walks.
